Today the school provides schooling facilities for over 150 educationally deprived children up to 8th Grade. It offers basic education for 5 to 13 year olds within a caring environment. The Sangam School is run by Sangam Foundation, which is a registered charitable society in India. The Foundation, started by Kamla Sawhney and Dayanand Arora in 1982, provides for the strategic and operational needs of the school. Most of the funding for the school is obtained through generous support and donations from friends in India and abroad. The Friends of the Sangam Foundation (FOSF), based in Coventry, England, has been a regular provider of funding for the school. Click here for a link to FOSF. Professor Eleanor Nesbitt, together with her friends, helps to maintain the continuity in the education of the local children.
